Good afternoon! It’s been a very busy day today here at the Home Office in Gretna, Nebraska. The day started at 6 a.m. and since I went to bed and didn’t watch television at all before I went to sleep; I was finally pretty well rested. It’s been a constant work on the computer day, social media for my author page, my publishing page, the VFW social media (Facebook) and establishing a presence for the VFW Auxiliary. Some of us determined to bring them to the 21st Century. We’ll get there.
And I’ve let you poor readers wait until now. Sorry! On the plus side, I am caught up with the social media for the Post, and should be able to blog earlier tomorrow. Back on schedule, I hope! It’s always something, isn’t it? Retired people are busier than when they worked, you know?
I’m sharing my breakfast with you from this morning, for you Keto folks. Even if you’re not, this was delicious! When the Babe and I started this way of eating, I didn’t want to have to go buy protein shakes. We were already drinking Ensure (Max Protein) before, with no sugar added, but with high protein. They’re good. Today, I used a Mixed Berry flavored one, a handful of frozen Berry medley, and BioTrust powder (not protein), but C8 MCT, a fuel source that is rapidly converted into Ketones. It’s a mental booster, increases energy and appetite management tool. I need the energy and boosted energy most days. Besides, I thought this would keep me awake longer today!
I also put a large handful of spinach in. I thought it would turn green, then so would I. No, using this with berries and a berry colored liquid, it stays purplish. It was so good. I haven’t been hungry all day, either. Just a note, I’m not compensated for sharing BioTrust with you. I bought it and thought someone else may use it. I like it, it doesn’t clump; it doesn’t get weird. You can use it in coffee, then it looks as if you have creamer in your coffee, and it tasted slightly sweet. In plain water, you barely know it’s there.
I think that about brings us up to speed with the Keto eating. I have lost 30 pounds, and can now wear 4 pair of Capris and 3 pair of jeans I couldn’t wear in October 2020, when we started this program. I’m not a mirror-gazer, and when I go past the hall mirror to do laundry or get something from the bedroom, I stop. I finally recognize myself again. I hope to keep the weight loss going. We’ll have to see how the Babe does, too. Of course the quarantine helped. We had to eat at home, which was good.
Thank you for taking the time to read today. I appreciate it so much. I will see you tomorrow, so be kind, be thoughtful, be your own truth. It’s something we all need to find. The world will be better. Until tomorrow.
